UPDATE: FlashStacks 1.3 for OS X is now available.
About
What is FlashStacks?
FlashStacks is a virtual flashcard maker designed by DA students for DA students. FlashStacks allows students to create "stacks" of flashcards for upcoming tests, quizzes or exams. With the press of a button, students can upload their stacks to a server for safekeeping. Once on the server, not only can students retrieve their own stacks for further studying, but they can also browse and study with a library of stacks created by other students. FlashStacks strives to build a community of peers with one focus in mind: to study (and maybe even have a little fun doing so).
Who can use FlashStacks?
FlashStacks is currently available to members of the Durham Academy Upper and Middle School communities only, however, we'd love to eventually spread the scope of the FlashStacks community to include all branches of Durham Academy, and possibly even other schools.
Why should I use FlashStacks?
If you've ever cringed at the idea of spending hours making hundreds of paper flashcards to study for an upcoming test and thought, "there's gotta be a better way!", then you're in luck, because now there is. We've worked hard to develop a simple interface that allows you to create multitudes of virtual flashcards in a few easy minutes. The days of wasting your money on packs of paper flashcards are over. Now you don't have to worry about losing your flashcards or spilling soda on them because FlashStacks can do it all. Flashstacks even has an auto-quiz feature, (so you don't have to beg your mom to test you anymore). And the best part is: it's free.
Download
FlashStacks is available for both Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. Use the links below to download the correct version for your computer.
